On Saturday it was very sunny, so I called a friend to see if he wanted to go to the beach, but in spite of the good weather, he preferred to stay at home studying. I asked him why, but he said to me that his parents didn’t let him go out while he had exams, even at the weekends. Also, he really wanted to pass. Therefore, I didn’t see him. Hopefully, I will see him in two weeks’ time.

El sábado hacía mucho sol así que llamé a un amigo a ver si quería ir a la playa, pero a pesar del buen tiempo, él prefería quedarse en casa estudiando. Le pregunté por qué, pero me dijo que sus padres no le permitían salir mientras tenía los exámenes, incluso los fines de semana. Además, él tenía muchas ganas de aprobar. Por lo tanto, no le vi. A lo mejor, le veré dentro de dos semanas.
