Me parece que hoy en día los jóvenes están obsesionados con la tecnología.  Todos mis compañeros de clase tienen un móvil y va con ellos por todas partes.  No lo sueltan ni siquiera cuando están almorzando. En casa, mis padres ya no permiten que tengamos un móvil en la mesa mientras cenamos.  Si quiero hacer una llamada, no me dejan.  Debo esperar hasta después de la cena.  Al principio me fastidiaba pero ahora me da lo mismo.

It seems to me that these days, young people are obsessed with technology.  All of my classmates have got a mobile and it goes with them everywhere.  They don’t even put it down when they’re having their lunch.  At home, my parents don’t allow us to have a mobile at the table any more when we’re having dinner.  If I want to make a call, they won’t let me.  I have to wait until after dinner. To start with it annoyed me, but now I don’t mind.

los jóvenes están obsesionados con la tecnología. = young people are obsessed with technology. 

Todos mis compañeros de clase tienen un móvil = All of my classmates have got a mobile

y va con ellos por todas partes. = and it goes with them everywhere.

No lo sueltan ni siquiera cuando están almorzando. = They don’t even put it down when they’re having their lunch. 

En casa, mis padres ya no permiten que tengamos un móvil en la mesa mientras cenamos. = At home, my parents don’t allow us to have a mobile at the table any more when we’re having dinner.

Si quiero hacer una llamada, = If I want to make a call,

no me dejan. = they won’t let me.

Debo esperar = I have to wait

Al principio me fastidiaba = To start with it annoyed me,

pero ahora me da lo mismo. = but now I don’t mind.
