During the holidays I spent two weeks in Spain.  I always wanted to go to Spain when I was younger but I never had the chance.  We stayed in a big hotel but we ate in other restaurants.  During the day my parents visited museums and places of interest but my brother went swimming in the sea and I sunbathed.  Next year we are going to Italy.

Durante las vacaciones pasé dos semanas en España.  Siempre quería ir a España cuando era más joven pero nunca tenía la oportunidad.  Nos alojamos en un hotel grande pero comimos en otros restaurantes.  Durante el día mis padres visitaron museos y sitios de interés pero mi hermano nadó en el mar y yo tomé el sol.  El año que viene vamos a ir a Italia.

and I sunbathed. = y yo tomé el sol.
